Doyle III Executive Director Welcome Home Day Foundation                for Vietnam Veterans 12335 Santa Monica Boulevard, Suite 103  Los Angeles, CA 90025 Dear Mr. Doyle: Thank you for your letter suggesting I join with other governors in proclaiming October 20 as Welcome Home Day for Vietnam Veterans. As a Vietnam veteran myself, I am particularly happy to comply. Alaska leads the nation in the number of military members per capita. Our citizenry is well attuned to both former and active military. Nonetheless, a special day to increase respect and recognition for Vietnam veterans is a welcome endeavor. The Executive Proclamation is enclosed. Your efforts are appreciated.
