Well
Daddy,
today
marks
your
55th
birthday.
Oh
how
I
wonder
if
you
have
any
gray
hair.
Went
over
to
mom's
house
today
and
a
friend
of
mine
in
Virginia
left
you
Yellow
Gladiolas'
and
made
you
a
birthday
cake
to
share
with
fellow
volunteers
and
Rangers
at
The
Wall.
I
wanted
to
make
you
a
cake,
but
I
thought
that
might
be
a
bit
too
much
for
mom
to
handle.
God
how
she
misses
you!
She
still
loves
you
with
all
of
her
heart
you
know.
In
June
we
went
to
Washington,
DC,
I
finally
got
to
meet
Barney
with
Casualty
Control.
He's
a
good
guy
dad,
you'd
like
him
a
lot!!!
Found
some
information
that
I
brought
up
to
the
Joint
Task
Force
Full
Accounting
people.
Hopefully,
they
will
check
a
site
that
I
found.
A
fisherman
says
he
buried
an
American
serviceman
on
the
rivers'
bank.
I
don't
know
if
it
is
you
or
not,
but
one
can
always
hope!
You
taught
me
that.
To
look
up
at
the
stars
and
dream
a
little
dream.
Because
sometimes
our
wishes
and
dreams
do
come
true!
I'm
slowly
learning
what
a
wonderful
guy
you
are.
A
lot
of
the
men
you
served
with
or
taught
have
taken
time
to
get
in
touch
with
us
after
all
these
years.
It
makes
me
sad
and
angry
though.
They
all
say
that
you
were
a
special
and
one
of
a
kind
type
of
guy.
I'm
mad,
why
did
you
have
to
leave?
To
know
that
you
were
a
great
guy
makes
you
not
being
here
in
our
lives
all
that
more
painful!
Don't
get
me
wrong
dad.
But
it
wouldn't
hurt
quite
so
much
I
think
if
you
were
a
not
so
nice
guy
if
you
know
what
I
mean.
They
all
tell
me
how
you
affected
their
lives.
Why
couldn't
you
be
here
to
affect
mine?
It
took
me
a
long
time
to
try
to
turn
my
life
into
something
that
I
think
you
would
even
be
remotely
proud
of.
I
only
hope
that
I
have
succeeded
in
some
small
way.
Well
dad,
as
you
can
guess,
I
ramble.
Happy
birthday
daddy!
I
love
you
and
miss
you
terribly!
Your
little
girl,
Kimberly
